102.5 Thoughts, Objects and the Etheric Body

Thoughts and the Etheric Body

1. The differences between the mind and the brain are:

  • The mind is composed of the mental substance of the mental plane, while the brain is composed of the physical substance of the physical plane.
  • The mental substance of the mind is much more subtle than the dense physical substance.
  • The mind is part of our inner and subjective world, while the brain is the objective, physical part of our being. Our inner world is the cause, while our outer world is the result of it. The mind has the power of creation as its vision can gradually direct our life.
  • It is the mind that governs our life. The brain, as part of the physical body, is merely the mind’s instrument.
  • The mind impresses the etheric brain with its thoughts, and the etheric brain puts the physical brain into motion. Our thoughts affect our emotions and actions.

2. Meditation enhances our bodies through the alignment and synchronization of vibrations. Meditation calms and purifies the mind and the emotions. Because our thoughts organize our etheric body, meditation with noble and elevated seed thoughts have positive effects on and enhancing the vibrations of our etheric, emotional and mental bodies. Meditation puts the etheric body nearer the inner spiritual world and helps its synchronize itself with the ideal in the higher subtle planes. Meditation also transmits higher cosmic etheric substances into their lower counterparts, thus transforming the lower ethers, and building the chakras with higher etheric substances.

Objects and the Etheric Body

1. The objects that we touch can affect our etheric body, positively or negatively, depending on their owner and handling. Spiritually refined people are more sensitive than ones of average consciousness. Thus, it is better to use their own personal things.

To protect ourself from harmful emanations we can purify objects by sandalwood incense, prayer, the power of the cross, by the holy energy of Christ or a Master (if invoked in a spirit of purity and by an elevated consciousness).

A person with healthy etheric body charged with golden prana can also destroy any negative formation on any object, if one concentrates their psychic energy through prayers and concentrated thought power. But we should be careful as sometimes it is too risky.

2. The emanations of a holy person can have healing effects and charging blessings on others.  The objects, food, water blessed or given by a holy person can be used, touched by a patient or put nearer to them for healing or blessing. Great Teachers used to send their disciples gifts to pass to them electrical charge of blessings.

Human Design 12. Channels

In total, there are 36 channels in the Human Design Chart. The channels connect 2 different centres to each other through the gates and named by the numbers of the 2 gates.

Channels can be activated or not, and that can have impacts on our personality.

When the 2 gates of a channel are activated, the channel is defined. A defined channel makes the energy and theme that they represent accessible and reliable all the time. An undefined channel can be activated through planetary transits.

Among 36 channels, there are 15 individual, 7 tribal and 14 collective channels.

Individual channels: make us oriented toward ourselves. Activated individual channels refuse to fit in. They are artists, innovators and the driving force behind the progress of humanity. If they unleash their full potential and accept their loneliness as a source for their greatness, they can make exceptional contributions to humanity as a whole.

Tribal channels: family and community-oriented, caring, often put their loved ones above their needs and desires, more social and love being around others, like physically contact such as hugging and kissing, very protective of their own and often suspicious of new people they meet. May expect the same dedication and support from those who surround them.

Collective channels: oriented towards humanity as a whole, often academics, trying to understand the deepest secrets of the universe, or in leadership positions, trying to move humanity forward, visually driven, quick to offer their expertise and opinions to others. They use all their energy to study the past, prepare for the future and offer valuable service to the rest of humanity.

There are 2 types of collective channels, (1) logic - towards the future, focused on research and analysis; (2) sensing - focus on the past, trying to learn from it and use it for the betterment of humanity.

Human Design 11. Gates

There are 64 Gates, as doorways to the 9 energy centres. The 64 Gates are rooted from the 64 Hexagrams of the I-Ching.

The Gates reveal specific energies or theme in one’s personality and experiences.

Each Gate can be activated or not. Activation occurs at the time of birth, based on the planetary positions like in Astrology.

A maximum of 26 out of 64 Gates can be activated in any person. Some planets can impact the same gate twice, three or even four times, making fewer Gates activated.

The Gates can connect centres by creating energetic pathways between them, when 2 complementary Gates (one form each end) are activated. This connection has a significant influence on a person’s behaviors and life path.

Channels can either be consistently activated (forming a defined centre) or activated intermittently through transits or interactions with others, affecting the dynamics of the centres.

Factors that affect how gates operate:

If it is part of an Activated channel.

If it is Activated in a Defined centre.

If it is Activated in an Undefined centre.

From top to bottom, there are:

3 Head centre gates.

6 Ajna centre gates.

11 Throat centre gates.

8 G-centre gates.

4 Heart centre gates.

7 Solar plexus centre gates.

7 Spleen centre gates.

9 Sacral centre gates.

9 Root centre gates.

Human Design 10. The Body Centres (Part 2)

 Ego/Will/Heart Centre

  • Related to ego, will power, and material items.
  • Associated with the heart, stomach, gallbladder and thymus.

A defined ego centre: has the will power to follow through with the promises you make, taking charge of their lives, manage resources efficiently and effectively.

An open or undefined ego centre: has low self-esteem and not good in prioritising their time and energy, leading to lack of quality in their work and efforts. They should avoid making promises if they do not have adequate will power to realize them; strategically prioritising their commitment and allocate energy only to areas that will provide value; refraining from overworking and burning out.

Solar Plexus Centre

  • Home of emotional energy, desire, creativity.
  • Connected to the nervous system, lungs, kidneys, bladder, pancreas, prostate and overall physical well-being.
  • Can be a generator of progress and change, as well as the drive to experience new things.
  • Oscillating, need patient observation to learn its lessons.

A defined solar plexus (51% of humanity): deep in the current emotional moment; existing in their emotional waves, often in cyclical ways; being directs about their reactions and emotions and often set the mood of a room; can see the nuance nature of any situation. Most effective when being able to take advantages of these cycles and learn patience, waiting to make decisions until having reviewed a problem from every perspective within the wave.

An undefined or open solar plexus centre: maybe a people-pleaser; may intensely feel the emotions of those around, thus wanting to secure the best possible emotional outcomes for all involved, thus can lead to avoidance of (negative) truth and conflict. They should perceive emotions without getting stuck on them.

A completely open solar plexus centre: may live in an entirely separate inner world to protect themselves from the conditioning of Defined solar plexus centres around them; can be extremely avoidant, deceptive. They should rely on some other parts of their design (strategy and authority), to guide them in determining where to engage and experience.

Open or undefined solar plexus centre should routinely dispel or clear the emotional energy of others.

Spleen Centre

  • The energetic hub for intuition, body awareness, the immune system, and overall physical health.
  • Connected to the lymphatic system, some parts of the autonomic nervous system.
  • Influencing our sense of well-being, the fight or flight response and the automatic bodily process.
  • Vital for many subconscious, instinctual and reactive processes within us.
  • The intrinsic sense of danger or peace.

A defined spleen centre: may trust their own intuitive sense or may dismiss them entirely; having a strong immune system and overall health.

An undefined or open spleen centre: highly sensitive, may be uncertain in their discernment despite its intensity. It is hard for them to let go of fears and ineffective thoughts or feelings.

A completely open splenic centre: either hold on too tight or not at all; extremely sensitive to the conditioning of those with less open splenic centre and tend to completely lost in time.

Sacral Centre = The Life Force Centre

  • Home of the Motor Centre, vitality, sensuality, sexuality, drive to work hard for fulfillment.
  • Connected to the reproductive organs.
  • The energy for sex, raising children, and life in general.
  • Influencing on the energy for repetitive tasks or the ability to focus.

A defined sacral centre (70% of humanity): needs to follow their passion for not to be burned out.

An undefined sacral centre: needs to be more conservative with their energy; can receive more energy from others but cannot sustain it and must take more break; might struggle with long-term or repetitive work.

A completely open or ineffectively undefined sacral centre: often burn out by trying to keep up with defined sacral centre energies; less inclined to have large families or friend groups.

Root Centre

  • Energetic home of stress, pressure and adrenaline.
  • Rests in the adrenal glands, responsible for producing the steroidaal hormones adrenaline and cortisol.
  • Associated with the drive to sustain the body, the thirst for experience, the regulation of stress, the sense of pressure needed to respond to a crisis or deadline, sense of duty to a cause or objective; how to approach stressful interpersonal situations.

A defined root centre: has a consistent way of dealing with stress; but may put pressure on others.

An undefined root centre: may have a hard time resting and have an infinite endless to-do list.

A completely open root centre: may feel a lot of pressure to perform and maintain their stamina; vulnerable to undue pressure from others. They should learn to slow down, delegate and rest.

Human Design 9. The Body Centres (Part 1)

Human expanded from 7-centred beings to 9-centred beings in the year 1781, which was the year of Uranus discovery. Humans are designed to live longer and with different purposes than our oldest ancestors.

The time of birth affects certain gates as defined or undefined.

A defined centre has more than 2 defined gates, highly resistant to change, more fixed energetic expression.

An undefined centre has one defined gate, easily influenced by external forces, flexible, enabling us to experience the world, can cause stress, anxiety, pressure and confusion.

A completely open centre has no defined gate, ultimate receptors of external conditioning, great vulnerability but also opportunities for incredible growth and learning from others.

Reflectors (less than 1% of human population( have all 9 centres completely open.

Head centre: Pressure centre

- related to ideas, inspiration, questions and doubtful feelings. Based on the gates, those ideas can be logical, abstract or personal.

- linked to the pineal gland, which produces melatonin hormone affecting sleeps and wakefulness.

- not linked to the Throat centre. Thus, the only way to access it is through the Ajna centre.

* a defined Head centre will has a defined Ajna centre. Difficult to meditate as their thought processes are continuous and constant.

* an undefined Head centre feels urge to obtain solutions to all the questions around them. May appear intuitive and observational, but in reality they lack the power to draw conclusions and analyse information on their own.

- Effective strategy for open Head centre: filtering out those particular ideas, thoughts and inspirations that are right for them; then careful selecting.

Ajna centre: Awareness centre

- operating as a processor of thoughts, information and questions, analyse.

- ideas flow from the Ajna centre to the Throat centre and then are expressed to the world.

- one of the 3 awareness centres for the Divine Intelligence.

- linked to the pituitary gland, the master gland regulating our hormones.

* a defined Ajna centre means a defined Head centre.

* an undefined Ajna centre means an undefined Head centre. They have an open mind but can't retain information long. They observe things around from all angles and perspectives.

- Effective Strategy for an open centre: remain flexible and not to pursue certainty, making lists can help in recollecting things and improve our decision-making skills.

Throat centre: Manifestation centre

- control the metabolic rate and overall well-being.

- linked to thyroid and parathyroid glands.

* a defined Throat centre can communicate and express your emotions in a clear and reliable manner. Linked to the Solar Plexus aids in communicating your expressions and thoughts. Connected to the Spleen centre leads to any "gut instincts". Linked to the G-centre conveys self-love, esteem, direction and purpose in life. Linked to the Ego centre and Sacral centre involved in the communication of will power and the joys of life, correspondingly.

* an undefined Throat centre do not have consistent or dependable communication skills. They are not a good orator or expressed, requiring flexibility.

G-centre: Identity centre

- related to self-love, direction and purpose in life.

- included the Magnetic Monopole that can be used to return to our places, to find ourselves nd our direction in life.

- attract things toward us.

- linked to the liver

*a defined G centre: aware of their identity and practice self-worth and self-love. has a clear sense of direction and purpose. Their insecurities determine whether others can love them as they are. Their energy has a significant impact ib those with an undefined G. It is imperative that they surround themselves with the right people and environment.

*Open Identity: tend to change their personality and behaviors according to whom they are with at particular moment. Overcoming by letting go of the need to defined yourself in a confined space, spending time with people who bring out the flexibility in them and amplify their sense of direction in life.

Human Design 6. Inner Authority Types - Part II

There are 7 types of Inner Authority. In module 5, the first 3 ones have already been reviewed.

1. The Emotional Inner Authority (the Solar Plexus Inner Authority): 47% of population

2. The Sacral Inner Authority: 35% of population

3. The Splecnic Inner Authority: 11% of population

In module 6, the last 4 Inner Authority types are reviewed.

4. The Ego Inner Authority: 1% of population (the rarest type). None of the Solar Plexus, Sacral or Splenic centres are defined, and the Heart/Will centre is defined. There are 2 types of Ego Inner Authority: Ego Manifested Inner Authority (1) and Ego Projected Inner Authority (2).

- need to be mindful of their energy, motivation, influence

- rest as much as possible.

- finding natural rhythm for effective choices.

- spontaneous decisions can actually help

Ego Manifested Inner Authority: have a defined channel between the Heart/Will centre and the Throat centre, and with no defined channel between the Throat and the Sacral, Solar Plexus or Splenic centres.

- benefit from listening to their own words

- should not encumbered by logical or analytical thought to find the truth but rather listening to themselves and acting on the words that drive their personal interests.

Ego Projected Inner Authority: have a defined channel between the Heart/Will centre and the G-centre.

- do best when they wait for invitation before deciding upon their involvement.

- can be effective leaders and change-makers when following their strategies successfully.

5. The Self-Projected Inner Authority: 2.8% of population. The G centre is defined and the Heart/Will, Sacral, Spleen and Solar Plexus centres are all undefined.

- can get wisdom from the sound of their own voice and talking through their decisions with trusted friends, or even to themselves.

- Vocal communication is the primary way for making effective decisions.

- thrive in the moment.

6. Environmental Inner Authority: 3.53% of population. Either the Head and Ajna centres or the Head, Ajna and Throat centres are defined, but the rest of the body centres below the Throat centre are undefined.

- deeply affected by their surrounding environment, extremely sensitive body. --> Should carefully and selectively choose one's physical environment as much as possible.

- need to find a peaceful setting to make decisions.

- find a lot of wisdom in their own voice, but less in the words and more in the speaking out. --> Should learn to trust and lean into one's own voice, and be careful to talk through their decisions only with people who will not try to influence their choices.

- challenges: easily get caught up in the mental whirlwind of the Head centre, leading to over analysing, self-doubt, and endless questioning. --> Paying attention to inner and exterior environments to connect to the world outside of the head can prove helpful.

7. Lunar Inner Authority: 1.39% of population (2nd rarest type). Have no defined body centres.

- deeply influenced by the cycle of the moon.

- best decisions should be made over the course of a full lunar cycle (28.5 day cycle). In this way, they can sampling through all of the different Authority types, thus seeing more sides of the situation that any of other Authority types.

- should pay attention to the immediate instintive response to the environment.

- should set boundaries and manage the expectations of those surrounding to safeguard the intentionally lengthy process of making the best choice.

- should pay attention to the planetary transits and phase of the moon and keep track of their own internal experiences for illuminating insights.

Human Design 5. Inner Authority Types - Part I

 Inner Authority Types

Inner Authority is the most efficient way for individuals of that type to make best choices and decision. It is determined by referring to the Body Graph and checking which centres are defined (coloured) or open.

There is an order for determining Inner Authority:

1. If the Solar Plexus centre is defined, the person has Emotional Inner Authority, despite of the definition of any other centres.

2. If the Sacral centre is defined, without the Solar Plexus being defined, then the person has Sacral Inner Authority.

3. If the Sacral and Solar Plexus centres are not defined, but the Splenic centre is defined, the person has Splenic Inner Authority.

4. If none of the above centres are defined, and the Heart/Will centre is defined, then the person has Ego Inner Authority. There are 2 types of Ego Inner Authority.

5. If none of the above centres are defined, but the G centre is defined, then the person has a Self-Projected Inner Authority.

6. If only the Head and the Ajna centres, or the Head, Ajna and Throat centres are defined (nothing below the throat is defined), then the person has an Environmental Inner Authority.

7. If there are no defined centres - the Body Graph is completely white or unshaded - the person has a Lunar Inner Authority.

1. The Emotional Inner Authority (the Solar Plexus Inner Authority): 47% of population

- emotionally intense, experience life via the high and low of emotional spectrum.

- require clarity in emotions before making an effective decision;

--> need plenty of time and patience to make important decisions.

There are 4 types of emotional waves, determined by checking which channels within the Solar Plexus centre are activated. Channels are activated when there is a solid, coloured-in-line connecting 2 centres between 2 gates.

  • The Source Wave: connected to channel 59-6, usually stable
  • The Tribal Wave: connected to channels 19-49 or 37-40; slowly build up pressure that can be exploded.
  • The Individual Wave: connected to channels 22-12 or 39-55; intense with rapid mood swings, melancholic but also extremely passionate, need alone time.
  • The Collective Wave: connected to channels 41-30 or 36-35; can have extreme mood swings and explosion.

--> For effective choices: cultivating PATIENCE, waiting before making decisions, let go of certainty perfectionism.

2. The Sacral Inner Authority: 35% of population

- ruled by intuition.

- need to listen to their senses.

- blossom when living in a life that is tangibly pleasant to them.

- making decisions based upon what will spark the most joy is often the correct path.

3. The Splecnic Inner Authority: 11% of population

- driven by intuition.

- once-and-done nature, tend to decide immediately and then move on.

- should pay attention to the moment and be open to spontaneous inner guidance.

- making decision on the spot is their best path, or wait until the last minute.

Human Design 4. Definition Types

There are 4 following Definition Types in Human Design (and only 1 No Definition Type in Human Design, which is Reflectors - who are very rare, only less than 1% of human population).

1. The Single Definition Type: 41.95% of human population

- have all their defined energy centers connected, forming one complete circuit.

- self-sufficient, focused, with a natural ability to process information and function independently.

2. The Split Definition Type: 45.89% of human population

- have two distinct sets of defined centers that are not directly connected to each other.

-  need 1 central relationship to feel whole, which can be frustrating if they cannot find the right one, monogamous.

- have the potential to develop deep relational skills and a strong understanding of interpersonal dynamics.

3. The Triple Definition Type: 10.18% of human population

- have three distinct sets of defined centers that are not connected to each other.

- very independent, enjoy being disconnected, free-spirited nature, adventurous.

- enjoy trying new things, a social butterfly.

- fast-paced nature and high empathy.

4. The Quadruple Definition Type: extremely rare, 0.57% of human population

- have 4 separated defined areas.

- very secure in who they are and what they want.

- multi-faced, difficult for others to understand, not the norm living.

- live authentic lives, adaptability, enjoy being in a community of like-minded individuals.

102.4 The Kundalini Fire

The Kundalini fire

Also called the serpent fire, the kundalini fire is in the etheric body, around the base chakra, providing life for the atoms of the physical body. It has 3 channels that rise up the spine, corresponding to the 3 aspects of divinity, 3 stages on the Path, and responsive to the 3 major chakras.

(1) The Ida channel, related to the Moon, lunar, feminine, Matter or Intelligent aspect, and the Path of Evolution (Hall of Ignorance). Responsive to the solar plexus chakra, the Ida channel provides the impulse of desire and feeds the physical life and creative urge.

(2) The Pingala channel, related to the Sun, solar, masculine, the Soul, Love - Wisdom aspect, and the Path of Discipleship (Hall of Learning). Responsive to the heart chakra, the Pingala channel provides the impulse to love and continuously contact with ever-widening areas of divine expression.

(3) The Sushumna channel, related to the Monad, the Will aspect, and the Path of Initiation (Hall of Wisdom). Responsive to the head chakra, the Sushumna channel provides the dynamic impulse of the will to live.

The protective etheric webs

The chakras have etheric webs between them that are compartmentalized as each one has its own sacred duty for the human evolution. The etheric webs around the head is very thick, permitting only very little energy to flow through the head to all the centres, to protect the head chakras from the astral world. Because if people are spiritually immature, the full impact of the electric fire would burn the unready forces below.

These etheric webs are normally dissipated with the purity of life, the discipline of emotions, and the development of the spiritual will. As increasingly high vibration achieved through purification and discipline, the fire of the soul (the fire of mind), causes the centres also to increase their vibration, and this increased activity interacts with the protective disks of pranic energy found on either side of them.  Thus, through the interplay, the protective etheric webs are gradually worn away, and become perforated.

Three uprisings of the kundalini fire

The 3-fold kundalini fire climbs up the spine safely and naturally through the magnetic power of the dominant soul as it responds to the soul vibration felt in the head - the light in the head. When the soul is enthroned in the head, it attracts upward to itself the force latent at the base of the spine. The soul force in the base chakra, hitherto relatively quiescent, begins to turn upwards to the head via the spinal canal, passing through each chakra, and gathering increasing soul energy at each point. Mounting upward, the kundalini fire burns out all obstructions in the spinal etheric channel and vitalizes or electrifies the chakras. The vital airs within the ventricles of the head are also swept into activity and produce a cleansing, or rather eliminating effect therein.

As the process of transmutation occurs, the higher Cosmic Ethers replace the lower ethers, then the kundalini fire rises up in proper geometrical order.

There are 3 uprisings of the kundalini fire, corresponding to the 3 fusions of fires.

The 1st uprising - Fusion of Kundalini and Pranic Fires - The 1st fusion of fires is the blending of the two fires of matter, which are the 3-fold kundalini fires from the base of spine and the 3-fold pranic fires from the splenic triangle (spleen, center above the diaphragm and center between the shoulder blades). When these fires meet and merge at the center between the shoulder blades, then evolution greatly accelerates.

Kundalini, as it is aroused, steadily increases the vibratory action, not only of the centers, but of every atom of matter in all the bodies—etheric, astral and mental. This quickening of activity has a dual effect of great interest: (i) Causing the elimination of all matter that is coarse and unsuitable, and (ii) Sweeping into its sphere of influence matter that is keyed to its own vibration, and builds it into its vibratory content. Thus,  coarser matter is substituted for finer matter responsive to its own vibration. The person then radiates out healing and vitalizing energy through all one’s contacts.

The 2nd uprising - Fusion of Kundalini and Fires of Mind - When the fires of matter have united and passed still further along the etheric spinal channel, they contact the fire of manas as it radiates from the throat chakra. During this period, one consciously aspires and throws one’s will on the side of evolution, thus making one’s life constructive. The fire of matter is attracted upward, and merges with the fire of mind through a junction effected at the alta major center, located at the base of the skull.

The 3rd uprising - Fusion of Kundalini and Fires of Spirit - Then comes the third and final stage, which occurs beyond the 3rd initiation, where the united fires of matter and Solar fires of mind merge with the electric fire of Spirit, at the point from the top of the head. At this stage, the higher psychic powers manifest, the 3rd eye is activated.

We should not raise the kundalini by any artificial ways, such as through breathing exercises, meditating on the chakras, etc… as this may come with extreme dangers. The consequences of premature kundalini raising can be prematurely burning the etheric webs, destruction of matter, burning of bodily or brain tissues, developing of insanity, and opening the door to currents and forces, undesirable and destructive. In serious case, this may result in a setting back for several lives of one’s progress,  for one will have to spend much time in rebuilding where one destroyed, and with recapitulating on right lines all the work to be done.

The way for the kundalini fires to rise up safely and naturally is only through self-discipline; mind control; purification of physical, emotional, and mental bodies; dedicated, sacrificial service; and joy. That means when one awakens to one’s soul, it is the power of the soul that will attract the fires at the base for rising up. As one makes progress on the Path, one’s connection to one’s Soul increasing, thus, one expressing more and more Soul quality in one’s daily life, which are love, wisdom, joy, and service.

Human Design 2. The Body Graph and the Planets

The Body Graph reveals our genetic design, showing the unique Strategy (5 types) and Authority (inner and outer types), the 2 primary frameworks.

There are 2 dates in our Body Graph, the natal chart and the prenatal chart. The natal chart shows our conscious side, determining our Personality. The prenatal chart shows our unconscious side, our Design, our inner body intelligence.

The planets also have 2 positions, at our birth time and about 3 months before our birth. The planets influence on our personality and life.

The Sun: expressing ourselves, the image we show to the world.

The Earth: providing us the tools for balancing and grounding.

The Moon: our emotions, subconscious side.

North Node: energy of our future.

South Node: energy of our past.

Mercury: communication, thinking and reasoning.

Venus: our inner moral compass.

Mars: our immature energy.

Jupiter: our inner power and consciousness.

Saturn: our judge.

Uranus: our creativity, generational.

Human Design 1. Introduction

Human Design is the science of differentiation, a powerful tool for self-discovery that integrates the ageless wisdom of I Ching, astrology with modern DNA codes.

Human Design was founded by Ra Uru Hu in 1987, revealed to him by the mystical Voice.

Human Design mandala consists of the inner wheel of the 12 signs of the zodiac, the outer wheel of 64 hexagrams of the I Ching (64 codons of our genetic code DNA) and the Bodygraph - a map of the 9 centre human body.

There are 5 design types with their corresponding Signatures, Not-Self themes (related to their open centres and naturally arises when a type cannot reach their Signature).

The 4 (5) Human Design Types

Manifestors: about 8% human population, initiating, rulers and lawmakers, informing and leading in certain cases.

Signature: Peace

Not-Self theme: Anger

Reflectors: about 1% human population, all open centres, a mirror, empathetic.

Signature: Surprise

Not-Self theme: Disappointment

Generators and Manifesting Generators: most common, 70% human population, workers of the world, making great changes.

Signature: Satisfaction

Not-Self theme: Frustration

Projectors: 22% human population, a little bit passive, not here to work but rather to know others and to guide them, can only share their gifts when they are invited to do so and if those gifts are recognized.

Signature: Success (in the sense of being recognised and appreciated for what they naturally are).

Not-Self theme: Bitterness.

The Prayer

I pray we'll find your light
And hold it in our hearts
Let this be our prayer
When shadows fill our day.

Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe.

102.3 Coordination of the Centers

Locations of the centers in the etheric, astral, and mental bodies are described in the following chart:

Chakras and the Planes - Photo credit: Nicole Resciniti

The etheric centers

The etheric base, sacral, solar plexus, and splenic centers are located in the 4th subplane of the etheric plane.

The etheric throat center is located in the 3rd subplane of the etheric plane.

The etheric heart center is located in the 2nd subplane of the etheric plane.

The etheric head center is located in the 1st subplane of the etheric plane. The etheric head center is also called the crown chakra and symbolized by the thousand-petaled lotus. This thousand-petaled lotus is the sum total of the petals of all the etheric centers, including the correspondences of all the 7 etheric chakras.

The astral centers

The astral base, sacral, solar plexus, and splenic centers are located in the 4th subplane of the astral plane.

The astral throat center is located in the 3rd subplane of the astral plane.

The astral heart center is located in the 2nd subplane of the astral plane.

The astral head center is located in the 1st subplane of the astral plane.

The mental centers

The mental base, sacral, solar plexus, and splenic centers are located in the 4th subplane of the mental plane.

We can safely and naturally unfold our centers through meditation, study the Ageless Wisdom, practicing virtues and sacrificial services.

When the etheric centers open naturally, we come into closer contact with our organs and with others; our vitality increases, resulting in good health and well-being in general.

When the astral centers open, we become more emotionally sensitive and influential; We are conscious of our own emotions and the emotions of others.

When the mental centers open, we become more mentally sensitive and influential; we are conscious of our own thoughts and the thoughts of others.

Chakras and corresponding Virtues

There are virtues connected to each center. As we develop these virtues, the center related will be naturally unfolded.

The head chakra helps us find direction in life. In its truest sense, that direction is the spiritual Path leading us to our true Self, true Home. The virtues related to the head chakra are will power, courage, daring and striving.

The ajna chakra works as a directing agent of the personality in the early stage and of the soul (together with the 3rd eye) in the later stage. This is also a great healing center, directing the energies of Love, Light and Power. The ajna unfolds when we make efforts in discrimination, for right motive, right judgement, right direction.

The throat chakra is the agent of speech and creativity. Therefore, it can be unfolded when we practice right speech which is correct, clear, harmless; and making efforts to be creative. The throat chakra is also activated during admiration, bliss, ecstasy and the appreciation of beauty and arts. Economizing the sexual energy, even cyclic celibacy can facilitate the unfoldment of this chakra too.

The heart chakra is the most important center that must be developed regarding spiritual evolution as it makes us sensitive to the needs of people and thus becoming more compassionate and inclusive, being able to feel the Oneness in All. The heart center puts us in contact with the heart of the planet, the solar system, and the galaxy… The flow of Life circulates through our hearts and unifies our hearts with the Cosmic Heart. Gratitude is a very important activator of the heart chakra. As we have gratitude in our hearts, the eleven others virtues are also gradually opened to us, which are: group love (group consciousness, cooperation), humility, service, patience, labor, tolerance, spiritual identification, compassion, sympathy, wisdom, sacrifice.

The solar plexus chakra is the gate to the emotional world with the two higher and lower triangles. To unfold the higher counterpart of this chakra, we must develop virtues of devotion, dedication, aspiration and faithfulness.

The sacral chakra is naturally active. In order to sublimate its energy for shifting into its higher counterpart (which is the throat chakra), we should transform the desire for sex into aspiration and creative activity, and exercise virtues such as pure love, balance. Sex should be moderated with the virtues of chastity and purity, periodic celibacy is also helpful.

The base chakra is activated in a balanced and healthy way through practicing perseverance, fearlessness and constancy.

Evolution of the Self

Our Self evolves through seven stages, from the individual Self to the family Self, the national Self, the Self of humanity, the planetary Self, the solar Self, and the galactic Self. The higher one is more inclusive and expansive than the lower one before it. As we advance, our share increases, and both our joy and conscious suffering increase.

However, between these stages, there are barriers that we have to overcome if we want to go higher. The barriers are like the tests as it is difficult to pass through them if we are so much identified with our lower and smaller selves. To enter the higher level, we must leave some no-longer-relevant patterns, and things behind, we must renounce or sacrifice something, and we must also build new patterns to be able to stand under greater pressure and responsibility. And if we successfully pass the test, we become a greater Self, and enter into a greater Life, with more joy, more sensitivity as well as more power to withstand the increased conscious suffering.

Thus, to find our True Self, we must always lose our little, personal self and develop our tolerance capacity to embrace more and more other people until we don’t see others but our Self in a united Oneness. We feel the interconnectedness of every sentient being within the Web of Life.

Coordination of the Centers

Coordination is the harmonization, attunement, cooperation and synchronization of the centers horizontally and vertically. Coordination of the centers brings benefits to the person as increasing their efficiency in the world with all their thoughts, emotions and actions are united and thus more influential and powerful. When a person has their centers coordinated, all their actions, words and thoughts are charged with the vital energy of the etheric centers, the emotions of the astral centers and the fiery thoughts of the mental centers.

Three factors that facilitate the coordinating process are:

(1)  Purification of the chakras by using them purposefully and economically, no wasting energies and avoiding pollutants.

(2)  Expansion of consciousness through study, meditation, thinking in terms of the Whole, becoming more inclusive in our viewpoint, spreading Beauty, Goodness, Righteousness, Wisdom, Joy and Freedom in the world.

(3)  Developing virtues and applying them creatively in a sacrificial life of services to others.

Relations of the Rays, the Centers and the Fields

The 7 Rays go through all the chakras but there will be one chakra that is more resonant to one ray. Each ray of the 7 Rays also characterizes a field of human endeavor.

102.2 - Centers and the Etheric Body

The seven major centers in the Etheric body and their corresponding glands

The 7 chakras in the etheric body have their physical manifestations as glands.

1. The head chakra is related to the pineal gland, which governs intuition, awareness, and clarity of thoughts. Esoterically, the head center is related to the will and higher consciousness. In an advanced man, the head center becomes the point of contact for the spiritual will, Atma.

2. The ajna chakra is related to the pituitary body, which affects growth, reproduction, metabolism, and response to stress… Esoterically, the ajna center is the directing agent of either personality or soul, depending on the person's point of evolution - how soul-infused he/she is. In an advanced man, the ajna center becomes the directing agent or the distributor of the blended energies of the soul. In reality, the ajna center is inactive in ordinary people and only active until the 3rd initiation. Then, it radiates pure, selfless, universal and inclusive thoughtform, which are used for serving hierarchical purposes.

3. The throat chakra is related to the thyroid gland, which also regulates metabolism, heart rate, and body temperature. Esoterically, the throat center is man's higher creative agent.  In an advanced man, the throat center becomes the expression of the universal mind, Manas.

4. The heart chakra is related to the thymus gland, which is responsible for producing immune cells. The life principle is seated in the heart. Esoterically, the heart center is related to unconditional, divine love, universal compassion, and inclusiveness. In an advanced man, the heart center becomes the agent for spiritual love, Buddhi.

5. The solar plexus chakra is related to the pancreas, which produces enzymes for digesting food, particularly protein, and the hormone insulin for controlling blood sugar levels. Esoterically, the solar plexus center is related to emotions and considered the great clearing house. It operates as a storehouse and a processor of all energy located below the diaphragm, emanating from the three major chakras (sacral center, spleen chakra, root chakra, and other minor chakras). All the energy is concentrated in the solar plexus chakra before being transferred to the higher chakras.

6. The sacral chakra is related to the gonads, which affect reproduction and other body functions. It also relates to sex as the urge to blend or the instinct towards unity.

7. The root/base chakra is related to adrenal glands, which regulate several functions such as metabolism, blood pressure, and response to stress. It is responsive only to the will aspect. The will-to-be in incarnation is seated in the base chakra. It is also the resting place of the serpent - Kundalini fire.

The lower chakras below the diaphragm also have their corresponding higher chakras above the diaphragm. When a person progresses on the Path, energy from the lower chakras will be transmuted and transferred into their corresponding higher chakras.

  • The energy of the sacral center will move to the throat chakra. Reproductive energy is transmuted into creative expressive energy through arts, communication, writing, speech…
  • The energy of the base chakra will move to the crown chakra. Personality will is transformed into Divine Will.
  • The energy of the solar plexus chakra will move to the heart chakra. Desire is transmuted into Aspiration.

The relationship of the spleen center and the ajna center

The spleen chakra plays a vital role as an assimilator, absorbing prana into the body. Depending on the health of the spleen and its corresponding chakra, the vital force of prana will be enhanced or reduced. The spleen chakra operates like a switchboard for controlling the flow of prana.

The spleen chakra and the ajna chakra are connected. When we receive the 3rd initiation with total purity, harmlessness, and universal love, then the ajna center takes over the spleen center and starts radiating. That means when we achieve purity of physical body, of emotions, of thoughts through the work of the spleen center, then now we can radiate out in purity.

Five conditions of the centers

1. Closed, still and shut, and yet with signs of life, silent and full of deep inertia. The symbol of this stage is a circle. At this stage, the chakra looks like a disc-shaped valley, radiating a dull, lifeless light. It rotates very slowly, almost with no movement. This stage corresponds to the least evolved period of humans, with the first sub-races of the Third Root Race (Lemurians).

2. Opening, unsealed, and faintly tinged with colour, life pulsates. The symbol of this stage is a circle with a point in the center. The chakra moves faster than before, and in the center of the chakra, a glimmering point of fire emerges. This stage corresponds to the later Lemurian race, when the mind began to develop slightly.

3. Quickened, alive, and alert in two directions; the two small doors are open wide. The symbol of this stage is a split circle. During this stage, the bright spot in the center of the chakra becomes more active. The spinning motion made it shine brighter than before, projecting sparks in two different directions, making the chakra appear to be divided in two. The movement of the chakra was much faster than before, and the fire bisecting the circle moved back and forth, stimulating the light of the center of the chakra to become brighter and brighter. This stage corresponds to the period of the Atlanteans.

4. Radiant and reaching forth with the vibrant note to all related centers. The symbol of this stage is a circle divided into four. The chakra becomes very much active, and the cross inside the chakra rotates with the chakra, creating a brilliant beauty. This stage corresponds to a very high stage of mental development, associating with the 5th Root Race. The cross inside the chakra rotates together. The person is conscious of spiritual value, although he/she is still active in the life of the personality, and he/she is approaching the Probational Path.

5. Blended they are and each with each works rhythmically. The vital force flows through from all the planes. The world stands open wide. The symbol of this stage is the Swastika. At this stage the chakra becomes four-dimensional (4D). The cross within the chakra rotates on its axis, and sends out sparks in all directions. The chakra looks like a ball of fire instead of a wheel of fire. It marks the Path of Discipleship and the Path of Initiation. At the end of this stage, the chakras look like glowing balls of fire, with the spokes of the chakras merging together into a "whole burning fire".
