QU1. Pisces Study Report – Course 110.1 and 110.2

110.1 Give your own interpretation of the Second Fundamental, paying attention to the following as you do so:
a. What is periodicity?
b. What are the implications of the universal application of the Law of Periodicity?

The Second Fundamental is about the basic Law of Periodicity or the Law of Cycles. Periodicity is repetition or the feature of being cyclical. It is the fundamental universal law as all lives, from the small to the great ones, manifest cyclically. This law underlies all processes of nature: the cycle of days and nights, of sunrises and sunsets, the cycle of seasons, the life cycles of living creatures, the cycle of birth-growth-sickness-death, the cycle of rebirth and reincarnation, the lunar monthly cycle, the ebb and flow of tides…

There are times of activities and there are times of rests, succeeded by other times of greater activities… Each period favors each type of activity or non-activity. Therefore, understanding this law of nature would be very helpful for us to live more in tune with these rhythm of nature, and thus getting the most fruitful result from each period.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted…” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Your answer indicates that you understand the law of periodicity as commonly conceptualized. Great! The second part of the question might be looked at from man’s psychological angle and suggests that “we” can use the Law of Periodicity conceptually to plan and lead one’s life, with everything else it implies.

110.2 Into what category does the higher mental plane fit? Is it arupa or rupa? Please explain.

The terms “rupa” and “arupa” are Sanskrit words, meaning “form” and “formless” correspondingly and relatively. “Arupa” is only relatively “formless” from the lower plane’s view. Arupa planes still have their “forms” in spiritual substances in their spiritual worlds.

The higher mental plane is related to the causal body in the spiritual world. As written on page 660 of the book Treatise on Cosmic Fire “the mental plane being divided into higher and lower, rupa and arupa, concrete and abstract”, we can say that the higher mental plane fits to the arupa category.

That is a very good explanation, making the subtle distinction in the relativity of “arupa” (because it still manifests within the cosmic physical plane) and supporting your view with a cite in Cosmic Fire. (When using a citation, please indicate the “edition” of the referenced book. Thank you!)

Questions

Could you please explain more about the “interesting link between those who are members of the 5th kingdom, the spiritual, and the vegetables.” I can relate to it somehow in the way that whenever I’m in a forest or under big trees or surrounded by trees, I can experience something quite spiritual which I cannot describe and feel the healing effects of these creatures from nature. Is this true that for purification our physical bodies, we should become vegetarians?

Your question is one of great interest especially as to the 5th kingdom at this present time. In Cosmic Fire, you will find some information concerning the Lord of the Vegetable Kingdom and how He is more advanced than Those of the other two kingdoms. This in effect would indicate that the relationship of the vegetable with the 5th kingdom might be closer than with the others. Presently, Humanity is poised to anchor the 5th kingdom on Earth, which, one might say, will make the connection between the two ostensibly closer.

The wisdom here consists in avoiding to materialize the concepts too much and keep the natural connection and/or experience of connection in high esteem and use it to fire up or sustain the transmutation process within our etheric body between the fire by friction and the solar fire. I might say that you seem quite prone to this wonderful experience, which must be encouraged and cultivated.

Good Work. Thank you for sharing.
