Study

6.     Why is alignment important in meditation, and what are the components being aligned?
- Alignment is important in meditation because it helps us to connect with our soul so that we can go deeper into our spiritual experience. The components being aligned are the physical body, emotional body, mental body with the soul.
By aligning the vehicles we set up a channel of sorts where the energies can flow more easily from the soul to the personality.

7.     Why is it recommended that you keep a Spiritual Diary?
- We should keep a Spiritual Diary to keep track of our spiritual development. We can consider the Spiritual Diary as a confidant friend who keeps track of our spiritual development and who helps us in self-discovery and self-improvement. We can learn valuable lessons when we re-read it.
Sometimes we have experiences, nuances, thoughts during meditation and they tend to be very ephemeral, easily lost much like our dreams. By writing them down immediately after the meditation they are captured before disappearing.

8.    Describe the personality, and include a brief description of its components.
- The personality is the lower part of energy fields that constitute us together with the Spirit and the Soul. This is the visible part of us which tends to identify with the “self”/“me”. Its components are the three bodies: physical body, emotional body and mental body.

The personality is the coordinating and integrating mechanism of the three vehicles you have described. Yes, it is the identity, the "me" as you mention. It is the part of us that the world sees and that we think of as ourselves. After one is an integrated personality then the Soul begins to make contact. As we mature we see the obstacles and hindrances of the personality that keep us from being more soul-full. The personality is the vehicle that the Soul uses to express itself. The more contact and influence the soul has the more we become soul-like and shine and express soul qualities through the personality.
Daisy, your responses are right on the mark and you seem to understand these concepts well. Thank you very much for your contribution.
Love, Light and Power
Eva
