Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way

A post on facebook from Hạnh Phúc Xanh (Sống Foundation), a page supporting reforestation for Vietnam, appeared on my newsfeed today. It was about the 870 m soft-fencing wall protecting the mangrove forest in Vinh Chau, Soc Trang to ensure durability and wave prevention/reduction capabilities to the mangrove plantation area.
It immediately recalled me of memories in Soc Trang, with our GIZ team, building the bamboo wave breakers. Ten years have passed since the first day I came to Soc Trang. Time does fly! Klaus, Bianca, Ms. Kieu, Ms. Thuy, Mr. Binh, Nhung, Tu, AD, Ngoc, Rebecca, Winnie, Roman, Paul, Ira, Max, Mimi... Miss you all.
Take good care and be happy, wherever you are! <3
